Marketing by Red Bull
The Marketing guys at Red Bull are really good. They know how to do viral marketing, and a few startup entrepreneurs should take lessons

So what’s great here? Well, this is supposed to be just a couple of guys skating downhill, the sort of thing that 16-year old teenagers do. So the marketing guys has transformed this into a hot sport, with stars, glitter, excitement, exclusivity, etc:
- They found a great name, Red Bull Crashed Ice. Really, you can’t find something better than that
- They are scheduling it during the night, with light spots and all
- It’s just in the old Quebec city, with the pittoresque background
- Just look at the poster or the video, the skaters have this super-hero look
- Of course there’s music, dramatic movie-like editing,
The result: I see the pics and the videos in facebook and all over the place, posted by friends. Great work by Red Bull.
